Genetics was one of my favorite classes as an undergraduate biochemistry major and is an area I am considering attending graduate school to study. I believe in adapting the teaching style to suit the student's learning style. I graduated summa cum laude from Berea College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I haven taken many courses in biology and chemistry. I believe in inquiry based learning, or teaching any subject by incorporating the student's natural curiosity and drawing connections to their interests. I don't taking a long time to teach a student how to approach a single problem or concept and foster their understanding of the material so that they will understand how to approach the problem on their own.
