I graduated summa cum laude from Berea College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I haven taken many courses in biology and chemistry. I am also very proficient in algebra and trigonometry, and I have taken one course in calculus. As a high school student I worked in an after school program tutoring children in grades 3 to 8 in reading and math. During college I volunteered in “one-on-one tutoring” where I met weekly with a student to tutor her in basic math. I also worked as a teaching assistant in the biology department of my college.
My teaching style varies depending on the age and needs of the student. When I worked with younger children, I often made up a game to help the children learn the material while having fun.
