My name is Perry Miles. I have quite a bit of experience tutoring and have attended some of the best schools in the country. I went to the Newhouse School (at Syracuse University) and studied broadcast journalism to get my bachelors Degree before earning my Masters in Health Informatics from USF Tampa this past December. Have helped dozens of students prepare successfully for the new SAT. Work well with students who have test anxiety or who believe they do not test well. I prefer to work with motivated students. I enjoy one on one tutoring best, but I can work in a group setting. I think I am best at explaining concepts verbally. Particularly when I tutor math, I like to explain the reasoning and concepts behind what I am teaching, rather than encouraging rote memorization. For SAT and ACT prep, I think it is primarily a matter of explaining the structure of the test and teaching ways to address different questions.
