My name is Perry Miles. I have quite a bit of experience tutoring and have attended some of the best schools in the country. I went to the Newhouse School (at Syracuse University) and studied broadcast journalism to get my bachelors Degree before earning my Masters in Health Informatics from USF Tampa this past December. Since I have moved from the Northeast to Florida, I have been able to help students prepare for the school year and improve grades in all areas. Have helped dozens of students prepare successfully for the new SAT. Work well with students who have test anxiety or who believe they do not test well. I believe that all students can and will achieve academic success given appropriate instruction; i.e., instruction that is differentiated according to students' specific needs, learning styles, interests, and personal goals. As a classroom teacher and as a personal tutor, I have seen almost miraculous results in a relatively short period of time, both in terms of academic achievement and student confidence. After I graduated from college, I was hired to teach elementary school in Venice, Florida. While teaching in Venice, I also taught graduate classes for the University of LaVerne, LaVerne, California, in "Schools Without Failure". Even though I have been very active in the performing arts, teaching is my primary passion.
