English and education have been a passion of mine for my entire life. My undergraduate experience at the University of Minnesota Morris exacerbated this characteristic. While at U of M Morris I lead several study groups as well as copy-edited for the University newspaper. I worked as a camp counselor for 3 summers, and understand that everyone has different learning styles. Personally, I am a visual learner, and I understand that when teaching lessons it is important to incorporate all aspects of learning: touch, sound, visuals, etc. I am energetic and creative and would rather do hands-on activities to drive the lesson home than to sit and memorize lists forever. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and kids. I always separate the behavior from the child. The little kids that I tutor at the Boys and Girls Club love me! I am just really good at what I do. When I was teaching, I had a stellar reputation with my students and the community. When students would come back to me from college, they would tell me how easy their college English courses were after having me in class.
