Teaching accounting is my passion. Out of all the subjects that I teach, I prefer accounting applications. I am an advisor for FBLA, "Future Business Leaders of America" where many of my students compete in accounting concepts. I have had many of my students to win and some are first through third place winners almost every year. Several of my students that I teach have gone on to major in accounting in college, become enterprenuers and use their accounting skills to successfully manage their finances, and become CPAs, financial advisors or financial managers as a career. I tutored at the local elementary school for two summers straigth and absolutely loved it. Children are a joy to work with becuase they are eager to learn. I feel that if you make it interesting for a child then their learning experience becomes something that they won't forget. After I graduated high school I went to a community college just to get the feel of college. I decided to major in speech because I was interested in correct speech. Not only how words were pronounced but also what mechanisms that are used to produce correct speech. I went on to Delta State University to pursue my Bachelor's in Speech and Hearing, and might I add they had a spectacular program. With my bachelors degree in Business Administration, I have gained many skills. I have a great understanding of writing and reading, with experience in professional essays, research papers, and checking for grammatical errors. Over the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of providing child care for all ages of children, through which I have been able to teach and tutor the subjects they were learning in school at the time of care. I currently provide care for 6 children (3 different families) which range in age from 14 months to 9 years old, one of which is autistic. I love working with all ages of children, and understand that each child is different in their style of learning. It takes a lot of patience and understanding, especially with children that have special needs.
