I have my CDA in Pre School, an Associate in Science and a BA in business. I have studied and taken education classes and early childhood classes. I am proficient in Micro soft programs, science, math, music, medical programs. I have worked with children with the military Child and Youth Services over the past 18 years, from birth to age 18. For the past 6 years I have been involved with aferschool activities such as football, cheerleading, soccor, basketball and baseball as team mom or as a coach. I have also substitute taught for Cabot, Lonoke, Carlisle, and Des Ark in all ages and subjects.
Teaching Style
Children are our future. I believe that all children have something wonderful to offer the community. Learning is not always easy for children, I take the time to find out the strengths and weakness they my have, I find out what their interest are, this is a great tool for teaching children something they may be struggling in, an I strive to provide a safe and fun environment for them to learn in. I love working with children, this is a gift, I learn as much from them and they learn from me. I have worked with children of all backgrounds and I have been the teacher over past years that are blessed with the children that have learning, behavioral or special needs such as RAD, ADHD, ADD, and various forms of Autism. It takes a special person to work with children, I am patient, very observant, and I am always trying to find the best way each child can learn. I have been awarded for the environments I created for children of all ages, I have spent years learning and observing the best environments for children of all ages and needs. I was awarded for working with the children who lost one or both parents in the 911 attack in DC, I was asked to provide care and an environment that would help these children cope with the trauma they were going through. I know that some children have a hard time with school, my children are both on an IEP and I know the importance of an educator that will take the time to find out what will help with the learning process and just take some extra time with them to make sure they are understanding and so they don’t get left behind. I want to make a difference in children’s lives, help them feel good about their achievements now matter how simple of small they me be to someone else, it is all about building confidence, good study habits, and social skills that will ensure there success.
