As a graduate from the University of Nevada Reno, I have been exposed to an array of coaching and educational opportunities. I have a degree in Health Sciences and a minor in Psychology and I'm also an EMT-Intermediate, making me very confident in tutoring many science areas. I volunteered as President of the Rugby Club, a Special Olympics coach, a caregiver for severely mental disabled adults, and at a Sports Medicine clinic. A strength on which I have always prided myself is my ability to relate complex concepts with useful analogies and from different angles. I never underestimate a child's ability to learn something, so long as it's in a way in which they understand it. Curriculum development is also important. By that, I mean the creation of illustrations, tables, lists, acronyms, heuristics, and flash cards to aid a student in their thirst to learn. I am patient and fun, and working with children is something that has always animated and invigorated me. My teaching style is one centered around positive feelings. There is a word i learned in college by the name of rapport. In order to become successful in the classroom a positive working relationship must be established.
