I am very patient, and I take pride in my ability to relate to so many different students at different grade levels. I am not strict, but I expect hard work and dedication from my pupils.
I have worked as a Sunday school teacher instructing children ages ten through sixteen. I also taught vacation Bible school during the summers. During my senior year of high school, I mentored a young lady named Olivia Draper with whom I received a $2500.00 scholarship from Champions for Children for college.I also worked as a substitute teacher for Madison County Schools in 2009-2010. I worked most of my substituting assignments at the alternative school. I fell in love with the desire to teach students while working with the students there. My previous experience teaching at a Charter School in Texas and teaching at a public school district in Texas. Also, I have taught in the Jackson Public School District in Jackson, MS. My experience has been working with at-risk students and working with student one-on-one. In addition, I have worked with students that needed to be prep for tutorial. My classroom experience has given me the opportunity to work with all level of students and their learning style.
I think it's important to give all children the opportunity to advance and success that education can make a difference in their lives.
