I am very patient, and I take pride in my ability to relate to so many different students at different grade levels. I am not strict, but I expect hard work and dedication from my pupils.
I have worked as a Sunday school teacher instructing children ages ten through sixteen. I also taught vacation Bible school during the summers. During my senior year of high school, I mentored a young lady named Olivia Draper with whom I received a $2500.00 scholarship from Champions for Children for college.I also worked as a substitute teacher for Madison County Schools in 2009-2010. I worked most of my substituting assignments at the alternative school. I fell in love with the desire to teach students while working with the students there. I noticed there is a need for passionate educators. I plan to begin the movement.

I believe in getting a good education. I was in the Unites States Navy for 16 years. I joined the military right out of high school. I received my Certificate in Management, Associate of Arts degree, and Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland College Park, Maryland while traveling and serving on active duty for my country. I have mentored and worked with many after school programs.
I am great at teaching youth and adults alike in getting the best education and setting goals. My previous experience teaching at a Charter School in Texas and teaching at a public school district in Texas. Also, I have taught in the Jackson Public School District in Jackson, MS. My experience has been working with at-risk students and working with student one-on-one. In addition, I have worked with students that needed to be prep for tutorial. My classroom experience has given me the opportunity to work with all level of students and their learning style.
I think it's important to give all children the opportunity to advance and success that education can make a difference in their lives. I have the opportunity to internas asstudent researcher at many prestigious colleges: such as Purdue University, Marquette University, and at University Medical Center conducting research along with presenting research at various conferences. I published a thesis entitled “ Influence of Lead, Chelates, and Growth Stage on the phytoextraction of Lead- Contaminated Soils by Tall Fescue (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.).” Also at JSU, I served as a graduate tutor for undergraduates in Algebra, Biology, and Chemistry courses outside of other duties.
