I am patient and treat kids with the same respect I am given. since I am young, I believe teaching kids will be easier because I can understand any troubles they may be having and the material is fresh in my head. I am graduating high school this year and I am the oldest of three children. My sister is in first grade and my brother is in PreK. After school we come home and work on homework and sight words. I have babysat family friends and neighbors for three years now. I completed two years of Early Childhood Education classes with a built-in VPK. In this program, we designed and taught our own lesson plans for the children in VPK. I have experience working with children ages 3-5 and teaching science, social studies and math skills. I am also certified in CPR.

I enjoy using a variety of techniques with my students. We play games, use various software programs, and other helpful one on one devices to assist students in understanding and remembering concepts. I have served as a guidance counselor in middle schools for almost forty years and retired in December, 2013. During the last twelve years, I have tutored students in math in groups and individually. I enjoy using incentives and finding ways to make concepts relative in the student's actual life experiences. I still hold a valid Florida certificate.

I enjoy competency based education. I teach the student how to do the task and then they have to complete a project using their skills. I have taught in higher education for 12 years both private and public schools. I have taught every Information Technology Course available. I enjoy the A+, Net+ and Microsoft office courses since they provide the foundation for the student. I believe once the student has a strong foundation, any course can be completed.

Hello! I am a friendly and patient tutor who is dedicated to my teaching and take pride in building a good teacher-student rapport with my students. I generally teach school-going students and adult learners. Therefore, i can generate good learning plans for both kinds of students alike.I am able to help students understand their work better and expand their knowledge in the subject. Lessons are planned and tailored specially for individual students according to their level and needs. I always believe that one will benefit from enjoyable tutoring at an early age to enforce good foundations in their speaking, writing, reading in Russian skills. Therefore, I also encourage interactive and fun learning with my students. Lessons for primary and high school students are usually in small groups, as students gain alot by learning from one another. However, students usually attend indiv

I am a professional teacher. I have 15 years of experience teaching. I have taught Math and Computer Science in college. Also I have taught in both public and private school systems. I have experience private tutoring for students in school, college and also university. I do understand that all students learn at different degrees but they all can learn better. So I am always teaching my students with considering their individual characteristics. I enjoy teaching because I very often hear from my students that they really start to understand Math or Computer Science better only when I take them to learn. Working one-on-one with a student is a great opportunity to really focus on the individual characteristics and academic needs of the student and helping them to be more successful in learning.

One on one or group. Lessons taught, homework assigned, then follow up of homework assignment. My experience, (both academic and work)has been widely varied, ranging from research and engineering to financial management in a corporate environment, followed by golf course design and landscape management. In addition I used my experience in construction and woodworking to build and market patio furniture. Unfortunately the housing depression of the mid 2000's caused the business to be non profitable and was closed. Since 2005 I have been semi retired and used my construction experience to work at a lumber and hardware store.

I find it partucularly useful to take time to get to know the student's interests so that I can relate each subject to things that the student is familiar with. Making this connection between a difficult concept and the student's personal areas of interest helps the student feel comfortable with the subject and therefore more confident thinking through each question presented. Once confidence is established, it becomes easier for students to develop an understanding of the subject area that can be applied without the tutor present. I began tutoring math, composition, and biology in college for 3 years and loved it! I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with and minor in math. After college I continued tutoring middle school and high school students in math and biology in both a one-on-one and small group setting. I have been tutoring now for over 4 years and genuinely enjoy hel

My major complaint with the current pedagogy of STEM fields is there focus on teaching students to be able to produce answers so a slew of canned and frankly uninteresting problem sets. There is so much interesting literature, philosophy, and history in the fields of science and physics that it makes very little sense to muddle with these less helpful and dull techniques and problems. Physics and math education has become so perforated with cliche that shows like Cosmos and the elegant universe can become hits by just regurgitating the same buzz-theories (Schrodinger's cat, Black holes, the multiverse etc.) in the same, cloddish language (space-time is 'warped' and twisted, quantum 'weirdness', etc). This lack of original language and analogy is not a semantical issue; it's suggestive of the philistine cleaving of the sciences from the arts and it's very disturbing -- these truly awesome

I use the basic visual and auditory but the vast majority I use is "Learn by Doing". A hands on approach by the student creates a much higher retention rate in my experience. I am aware that most people, parents and students alike, do no like Math and find it difficult. I use age appropriate interests to integrate into my lessons so the students are talking about subjects that they like and are aware of. I am currently a Middle School Math teacher in Mantee County. I received my teacher's certification through State College of Florida's teaching certification program. I became a teacher after years of successful empoyment in the business world, tutoring and mentoring while working. Now, I am doing what I wanted to do when I "grew up"...Teach.
