Teaching has become something that I discovered a great passion for while I was educating parents in a Parenting Class for Foster Parents. Each student is different and therefore our goal as educators is to adapt and shift according to the needs of the student. I believe that all are capable of learning with the right instruction. Growing up, I never thought that I would want to be a teacher. After taking a job as a Childcare Counselor with the YMCA, I realized the I was meant to teach and work with children. Soon after, I completed and passed the Florida Teacher Certification Examinations and advanced my career as an elementary teacher. I have been working with children for several years. I started by teaching dance at a local dance studio while I was in high school. It was from this experience that I chose to go to college to become a teacher. I have a degree in Elementary Education and am ESOL certified. I have experience as a substitute teacher and have worked with both elementary and middle school students.
