Though my primary study has been of a religious nature, I am very skilled in the other subjects of a quality educational foundation, as well. I am especially gifted at math as I scored a 730 in math on my SAT's. In 2003 I worked at Cedarcrest High School in Duvall as Special Education Assistant tutoring students with ADD and ADHD. I have also taught in a private kindergarten in Taiwan. I have had many positive experiences mentoring high school and middle school students in faith based organizations. In recent years I have served as a mentor, guide, and teacher in non-profit settings primarily investing in young adults between 18 and 30. I have work with special education student, as well as advance placement student. I have only noticed one difference with each group and that is the pace that the classroom goes in. Although I enjoy working with small groups or one on one with student I believe that I am able to work with more then ten students at a time. I really try to let the kids explain to me how they interoperate the dictation first and then help them a long. I let all the students do as much as they can on their own, I believe is the best way to assists a child which I have done volunteering at the Land L Learning center, I worked with young age group going into first and six grade to help them get up to grade level in reading. My teaching style involves being open and relatable while keeping he conversation related to learning and the subjects of importance. I feel like students respond best when they are in a positive work environment and are pushed to be their best. This involves teaching through the Socratic method, of forcing individuals to answer their own questions. I believe that tutors and teachers should be providing students with the tools and skills they need to be productive students instead of giving away answers.
