Experience Summary
I am highly qualified to tutor in the areas of English/reading/writing. I currently volunteer at my son's school and assist children with assignments, I have created well written manuals and marketing materials for local businesses and have also written brief articles for the Herald newspaper. English has always come naturally to me and I've found writing to be a fun outlet for all of my energy and would love an opportunity to share my education and teach others.
Teaching Style
I am an outgoing, positive individual and this style comes across clearly when I work with children. I have a gift when it comes to making learning fun and rewarding. Much of a person's self esteem is derived from their accomplishments, therefore it is important to me that the children that I work with learn "how" to do the work, rather than someone giving up on teaching and doing it for them. I am very patient. If I have to explain something several times, I'll do it without displaying frustration and always staying positive. I love teaching kids in a positive way and in a positive environment!
