Experience Summary
My education is a private-based curriculum comprised of small student-teacher ratios. Since 4th grade I was taught intensive Spanish. A prep student, I excelled in English, Algebra and Geometry. My BA in Political Science included History and theoretical modern political thought and processes with a year in Latin. I studied worldwide economical and political research, often including statistics. My MBA in Marketing and Management Strategy concentrated focus in an MBA program stressing disciplines in business including Financial Analysis, Accounting and Statistical Analysis. I have informal experience as an English, Political Science and Marketing tutor to my prep, college and MBA peers. I have taught private guitar for the past 10 years.
Teaching Style
Excellent with children, I can adjust my teaching style with the personality of the child. No child learns the same, so it is important to create a learning plan that builds trust and respect between the child and tutor. I have found my greatest attribute is the ability to make learning fun and “cool.” I am passionate about teaching. If the children you teach can sense your passion for the subject, they will absorb that energy and want to excel. I also consider myself very patient - frustration has a very negative effect when trying to create a positive learning environment. Finally, I believe in creating a benchmark style constructional curriculum. I strive to instill the same love for learning my teachers gave me. Learning is for life.
