I have taught kindergarten for several years. I have tutored students in many subjects, including language arts, math, science, and reading. I have worked with students under NCLB and with FCAT (Florida's Comprehensive Assessment Test program). I am fascinated with the concept that the more senses you utilize in teaching the better the child learns and retains what was taught. Some children respond to verbal teaching, while others prefer visual teaching, or others like to interact with their environment (the hands on approach). Each child has their own language. I am a recently retired school teacher/administrator.
