I began working with children at the age of 10 in the capacity of babysitter/activities director. As a teen I began working in daycare centers and have worked in the capacity of teacher/assistant teacher/ director/owner. I have taught public school in Florida and the Bronx, NY over the past 5 years. I have worked as a drop-out prevention teacher and have had the privileged to work with a large number of disadvantaged and at-risk students.
I have strong classroom management skills and a passion for helping kids gain a better understanding for anything under the sun! I have high expectations of what my students can do, and help support them in achieving those expectations. A Little Bit About Me...

Studying French and Russian Studies at Stetson allowed me gain more than a grasp on those two languages, but insight to the cultures, an appreciation for and ability to interpret literature and poetry, a deeper understanding of history, geography, and politics as well as a desire to share all of this with others.
I believe that children need to find a reason to have a goal of being educated. Coming from a small town and having such a global perspective, I love helping children see their place in this vast world and that they are an important global citizen.
