I have tutored various students ranging from elementary, junior high to college undergraduates in Italian (my mother tongue) and French. I am very passionate about the student's interest in learning another language (I speak 4 languages) and honor their interest by offering a really caring approach: learning a foreign language widens perspectives and knowledge. I care about giving students the best for their learning, helping them to identify ways to continue their learning experience even when the lesson is over; supplying them with resources that may assist them better: each student is unique about the reason they started this 'journey' and I consider this reason very important as far as directing the lessons in a certain way. I try to tailor my style to the student. Each student I had tutored when I was in college I had basically spoke with them, got to learn what they strong points were, their weaknesses, and areas that needed more base learning. I tailored lesson plans to help fill in their educational gaps, created small weekly assignments, and also helped with their current homework/lesson plan. I believe everyone learns in different ways. Some are more visual, others are more auditory so I tried to not only explain but also show by using whatever tools necessary/applicable (graphs, pictures, charts, etc.) My love of mathematics began while I was in elementary school--I looked forward to those classes and took as many as I could from my high school, Wyoming Area. I tutored privately in French for many years and took my junior year of college in France. I then took my Masters Degree in Paris, France. I lived & worked in France for 5 years. I worked for Mack Trucks (then owned by Renault in France)for the French management and then Swedish management when Mack was bought by Volvo. There I taught corporate classes in French (3 levels). I also designed & managed a program called "Le Grand Echange", an exchange program for children of employees of both Mack and Renault. I will fit my teaching to the client. If a student learns with visuals, I will use visuals. If a student is an aural learner, I will cater to that side. I am very flexible and take direction very well. I have taken a year or more of each language I am qualified to tutor. The languages are Italian, French, German, Spanish and Latin.
