After working with secondary students, I pursued my certification in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K-3), specifically Pre-Kindergarten, which I taught for 2 years. I then took a hiatus to continue working on my M.A.T. in Elementary Education. During completion my coursework, I taught Middle School Social Studies as an interim substitute for grades 5-7. I believe a hands on approach to teaching a subject is the best way for a child to succeed. I believe that flashcards as well as games help younger children succeed in mastering a subject. Making a subject fun is key to helping a child tackle a tough subject. For older kids, practice tests are very helpful as well as flashcards.
