I generally teach through visual aids and through very thorough explanations. If the student doesn't understand the first time I explain something, I will explain it in a different way and will keep explaining it in different ways until he/she fully understands what's being taught. Calculus 2 is a little more difficult than calculus 1. The primary reason is the integration or antiderivation that must be learned. Integration is the most important concept to take away from calculus 2. Basically integration is the area under the curve and it is backwards derivation in respect to something. The hard part of the course is applying integration techniques to solve for various problems.
