I met a deaf couple at church and became frustrated when I was unable to communicate clearly with them. I took a sign language class in the evenings at Nova and after four classes I knew that I enjoyed learning the language. I then enrolled at MDCC and took ASL I, II, III, and IV, Communication Skills, Voice to Sign, Special Settings, etc. I tutored for four years ASL I,II, & III students at BCC Central Campus.
