Experience Summary
I have experience working with children with speech and language delays/disorders for the past 2 years. Although I do not possess a teaching certificate because I am a licensed speech language pathologist, I have had experience in the elementary and pre-school setting teaching concepts, especially those related to literacy.
Teaching Style
I am extremely patient when working with children. I am used to working with children who find simple things difficult and offer empathy toward their struggles while motivating them to succeed. I am an "out of the box" thinker and am good at thinking of different ways to teach things on the spot (in response to the child's needs). I try to make learning as fun as possible by turning simple tasks into fun "games" or activities to engage children and aid them in the learning process.
