I think it is very important to keep students alert and motivated, so I like to explore all types of learning expericences. As a Merchant Marine and Chief Steward I have taught, tutored, or mentor kids of all ages and backgrounds. My passion when teaching is to try and breakdown the subject to it's most basic level. I earned my Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies which covers an advanced level in Mathematics, Science, History, English, and Physical Education. I went on to earn my CA Teaching Credential and student taught 1st and 5th grades. I have been able to substitute for the last two years in grades K-12 which has given me a variety of exposure to learning styles as well as movitational keys.
I love that children soak up information! Many learn by visual, audio, or hands-on approach and I seek to find the children's strength in learning.
