15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have been tutoring for over 15 years both in students homes or at public locations such as coffee shops or the public library. My education and experience are broad. I was educated at "Ivy League" level schools and purposefully educated myself in a large variety of the humanities, which in essence all tie together. Basic courses up through most High School material outside of the Humanities are not difficult. Actually, while my education has been primarily in the Humanities, the material I see the most in tutoring is Algebra and Geometry!
I have a way of perceiving the difficulty the student has, and am able to explain the material in a simple way that makes it easy for students to grasp. My teaching style is "one-on-one" for the most part. My first instinct with tutoring is empathetic: if I were struggling in this particular subject, what would be the best way for me to understand it? If this method proves ineffective, I would choose a different technique. I am a visual learner so I often teach visually.
