15 years experience in a broad variety of subjects!

I have been tutoring for over 15 years both in students homes or at public locations such as coffee shops or the public library. My education and experience are broad. I was educated at "Ivy League" level schools and purposefully educated myself in a large variety of the humanities, which in essence all tie together. Basic courses up through most High School material outside of the Humanities are not difficult. Actually, while my education has been primarily in the Humanities, the material I see the most in tutoring is Algebra and Geometry!
I have a way of perceiving the difficulty the student has, and am able to explain the material in a simple way that makes it easy for students to grasp. In an evaluation after an observation of one of my history classes, a colleague of mine quoted that "it was evident from the beginning that the students were at ease, and yet extremely focused." My teaching style reflects the attitude that students must be comfortable in their surroundings first in order to be able to focus their energies for the day's work.
