MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY Let me start by saying that in my family we have a lot of teachers, so it runs in my blood?. I teach Economics and Business classes. Economics, my favorite course to teach is viewed by many as boring; there are right and wrong ways to approach questions, and finite answers to many questions. I began tutoring math for Stetson University which ranged from Algebra 1 to Calculus 2. I then began tutoring privately and I have tutored lower level math and advanced statistics. I have tutored a student who was failing calculus in class but then they earned the highest possible grade on the standardized test. I also have a degree in mathematics. My teaching style involves a lot of examples and having the student answer the questions on the board.
