Experience Summary
Throughout my academic career, I have had a myriad of success. I have consistently achieved high grades in every subject throughout school and have received many awards. I graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in Classical Civilization and Art History, but I excelled in several subjects, such as biological sciences and English. Because of this success, I have tutored several subjects since high school. I have tutored in Latin, Biology, Language Arts, SAT prep, ESL, and Life Management. Since I have done well in the best schools, I have developed many study skills, which I have imparted to my students. I am excellent at time-management and figuring out different ways of organizing and studying, which has made me a useful as a tutor.
Teaching Style
I enjoy tutoring because I believe that every child could benefit from one-on-one instruction. Since every child learns differently, it is difficult to reach every child in the regular classroom setting. When I tutor, I figure out what type of learner the student is and I work with him/her to find the best method of learning for them. Academic success is not only determined by intellectual ability, but also the ability to produce quality work in a timely fashion. With the help of a tutor, a child can reach their full potential.
