I have most of my experience working with English language learners. Over the past year I have worked with English language learners that came from varied backgrounds such as, university aged Korean students, adult Russian speakers, adult Ukrainian speakers, and adult, middle, and elementary aged Spanish speakers. I really enjoy speaking other languages, which is why I majored in Linguistics and French. I am rather easy-going, and am flexible in the material that I teach. Depending on the needs of the student, I can either provide a lesson plan each session or help the student with homework. I can provide references upon request when I am hired. I have tutored as a self-employed tutor in French, and my student was ahead of her class for the beginning of the next year. The first thing I do with any new student is identify his or her learning style so that I may incorporate those specific strategies into my lesson for an effective and personalized learning experience.
