Experience Summary
My love for working with children is evident in my academic accomplishments and commitment to learning. During undergraduate school I worked for three years as a substitute teacher. In 2005 I graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Elementary Education. I then worked as a classroom teacher for three years in Florida and Alabama. My desire to improve my craft and my ability to serve my students lead me to complete a Masters Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy.
Teaching Style
As a teacher it is my privilege to create a safe learning environment in which children are free to learn and explore. I believe that it is my responsibility to create lifelong learners by transferring my love of learning to students through a variety of activities and learning techniques. I strive to create child centered learning environments where adults serve as facilitators rather than dictators. It has been by experience that when given the opportunity, every child can learn.
