I am currently teaching mostly guitar and bass. I encourage the students, sometimes acting as their cheerleader as I take each student through a custom talored series of learning about their instrument as well as learning songs that are appropriate for their level and interest. I have been teaching music - guitar, piano, bass and music theory all of my life, but most recently contiguously for the last seven years. I have a BA in Sociology from Clemson University. I was always good in math, science and history in addition to social sciences and music.

I am university biomedical research employee and teach a biochemistry credit recovery program for high school students on the weekend. I believe in good classroom management and organized lesson plans. I set appropriate boundaries and expect the students to follow the rules that are set before them. That being said I try to make the learning as fun as possible but organized. I also try to bring in anything that they are interested in to make them enjoy the subject they are learning.
