My teaching style is dependent upon the student's learning style. I hold a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential issued by the State of California. I have 25 years experience in teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I have also served in the capacity of Literacy Coach training other teachers, and as a intervention specialist. I have experience teaching special needs students as well as advanced learners. I also teach credit recovery classes for high school students who have failed a course the first time.

I substituted for 3 consecutive years in Fresno, Clovis, and Madera Unified School districts at grade levels 3-12. I received my Master's Degree in Sports Administration from the American Public University system in May, 2011, and graduated with Honors and a 4.0 GPA. I am currently trying to obtain my credential and hope to be an Athletic Director one day. My teaching 'style' is a bit unique, in my opinion. By that, I mean that every child/student 'learns' differently, so I must 'adapt' my style 'on the fly' after determining what is the most effective approach/style/method for that individual student. My experience in the teaching field has been primarily as a substitute on a daily basis. I have some long-term sub assignments in my resume as well. I have tutored children in reading last summer. It was one of the most gratifying things I have done. I worked with English as second language children ranging from ages 5 to 13. We used a lesson plan and several activities to help children in achieving their reading level goals. Also, in my undergrad experience, I excelled in writing and was very good with meeting deadlines.
