Experience Summary
I stated tutoring privately and through the college when I was a student myself to see if teaching was something I wanted to do as a career. I tutored all my college years and realized that this is exactly what I want to wake up for every day. I earned my BS and single subject in Mathematics from Fresno State University. I have worked with students at all levels. I have tutored students as young as 5th graders and gone through levels of math from basic math to some graduate courses. I have been teaching for 9 years at high school up to pre-calculus. I teach because I want students to feel the same passion for math as I do and not be intimidated by it as lots of students are of mathematics.
Teaching Style
I think each student is differnt and so is their learning style. As a teacher I want my student to find their confidence in math which mostly comes when they understand the subject completely. I not only have lot of experience under my belt but since I compelted part of studies in a different school system, I am able to explain one problem in several different ways. They say "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink it". As a teacher it is my job to make them thirsty for math so they won't be able to resist that water of knowledge.
