I approach every student as a unique individual with his or her own struggles. In general, I teach mathematics in a direct and simple way. I do not treat the subject as a game or a bag of tricks. Once the fundamental concept is understood, then I push the students knowledge of applications. However, it is sometimes helpful to open up topics with simple examples. I believe in good classroom management and organized lesson plans. I set appropriate boundaries and expect the students to follow the rules that are set before them.
