Experience Summary
I grew up in Jamaica and my formal years of education were under the british system. This sytem was very student friendly and much emphasis was placed on learning and not testing. I have earned a Bachelors degree double major in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of the West Indies Jamaica. A masters degree in Science Education 5-12 from Western Governors University Utah. I also completed my teacher education requirements at University of North Carolina Pembroke. I have over 12 Years of teaching and tutoring experience, I have taught in the North Carolina Public education system for the last 5 years, and is liscensed to teach all the Sciences from grades 5-12.
Teaching Style
I enjoy seeing students learn. I get a real kick out of seeing the light come on. I like spending the time and helping students to learn, grow and achieve. I am very patient and caring.I will go the etra mile and use evry resource possible to ensure that students understand their subject matter. I also believe that education is the key to all success and so everyone deserves and should benifit fron a good education. My ultimate goal is for the students to succeed and may a difference in the world tommorrow.
