I am a recently graduated IB/AP student. I have been a volunteer tutor almost everyday for the past four years and have tutored elementary, middle and high school students, even though I prefer elementary. I have a 4.03 gpa and exceed both academically and socially. I pride upon my interpersonal skills and my caring and patient attitude. My teaching style can adapt to whatever my student needs very easily. The tutor can change, but the student cannot.

The collaborative learning approach, where students are encouraged to discuss what and how they're learning, is most effective. Students tend to engage much better with course material when the instructor has discussions with them, as opposed to lecturing at them. Since being awarded a master's degree in 2008, I've taught English composition, literature, and reading comprehension courses at Wayne State University, Henry Ford Community College, Oakland Community College, and Jackson Community College.
