I double-majored in biology in chemistry in undergrad, so the field of science and medicine is my first love and my strength. I have also received a Masters of Public Health Degree in Epidemiology, and have since completed my 2nd year of medical school. I have always had a strong affinity for math and english as well. I began my experience teaching at a small school. I taught 7/8 grade general science, ninth grade earth and space science, and tenth grade biology. I worked at this school for two years, before relocating. I then worked with a tutoring service. I tutored elementary students in a private setting (in homes) in reading and math. I also taught seventh grade science at another small school.
Teaching is more than a job for me, I really enjoy helping my students. I believe that all children have the ability and the desire to learn. I am a very motivating person and tend to use humor as a method of teaching. I teach to and with the child and never down to him/her.
