I have a relaxed, stress-free teaching style, while staying on task and topic. I make sure the pupils really understand the material by breaking things down to the basics, and reviewing the foundations. After reviewing and application of the concepts, I have my students switch roles and "teach" me the material. I believe if you can explain the material to someone else, you really understand it.
I double-majored in biology in chemistry in undergrad, so the field of science and medicine is my first love and my strength. I have also received a Masters of Public Health Degree in Epidemiology, and have since completed my 2nd year of medical school. I have always had a strong affinity for math and english as well. I have been an educator for 28 years, so obviously, I love what I do! My teaching style is to make each of my students understand the "why" of the siutaion. If a person(child or adult) understands why something is supposed to happen, then often the pieces will fall into place, especially in the math arena. I believe that all students can learn.
