Younger students catch on very quickly to what it is I am teaching. If they don't catch on quick, then no problem. I'm very patient and never give up until a student understands the concept. Having homeschooled my children (eldest is attending a top 20 public university)and volunteering extensively in the school community, I have become familiar with a wide variety of learning styles. My legal background has prepared me for tutoring in that I am able to effectively communicate with the student and present the material in a manner conducive to a learning experience(similar to explaining legalese to a lay person). I am a very empathetic teacher who gears my teaching based on the learner's needs.
