I specialize in using mental triggers to help in effective understanding and information retrieval (e.g., moving cookies on a table to demo electrical charge). I also teach with analogies to real world scenarios, using sources from around the world, and throughout history. Some problems have more than one root course, and some have coupled interactions that are difficult to isolate. I think that kids light up life and make it interesting. That's why I love working with them. I love the intellectual stimulation of the older age groups and the academic challenge they present. A strength on which I have always prided myself is my ability to relate complex concepts with useful analogies and from different angles. I never underestimate a child's ability to learn something, so long as it's in a way in which they understand it. Curriculum development is also important.
