Experience Summary
My professional background is primarily in marine mammal behavioral biology. I have 10 years field experience studying whale and dolphin habitat use, foraging behavior, and human interaction occurances. I also have a strong background in terrestrial wildlife conservation and natural resource policy.
I am a Phi Theta Kappa life member as well as a member of the Ecological Society of America (ESA). My two-year degrees gave me a strong background in both English and Humanity studies. It was during my early education at a community college where I discovered tutoring and joy of helping others find their potential.
Teaching Style
I enjoy helping others and thereby learning about myself in the process. I believe my teaching style revolves around communication, compassion, and finding the best way for the student to grasp the lesson or idea presented. I feel that everyone has their own way of comprehension and the challenge is for me to discover it.
I have taught primarily college and university level students ages 18+. I have tutored Math, English, Wildlife Biology, and Cell Biology. I never claim to have all the answers, only many ways of finding them.
