A Little Bit About Me...

Tutoring my fellow classmates was an integral part of my college experience. At Yuba College, I tutored math and chemistry in the College Success Center for two school years. I was in demand, as even fellow tutors would seek my help. I was also requested by my physics professor to tutor physics in the Hard Math Cafe on campus. While at UCI, where I graduated Cum Laude with a mathematics degree, I would often help fellow students, even during the professor's office hours when the professor was busy with another student. I enjoy imparting my skills upon those I help, resulting in increased insight and understanding for those tutored.

I am a chemical engineer and I currently work for a biofuels plant. I consider myself as having a good way of presenting the science behind biodiesel to the other employees who do not have a scientific background. As such, I often have to create spreadsheets and conduct training sessions to explain the mathematics behind the process in layman’s terms. I have tutored students in chemistry, algebra, Latin and geometry. I tutored for underprivileged children in NYC for a few months in mathematics, and in college I tutored chemistry in my sorority and for other students upon request. I tutored a student from the Bronx area whose grades in algebra improved. One year ago I tutored Latin for a student for a couple of months.
