A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that most subjects are not difficult to master. Most problems come from "under learning" the subject. Repetition may work for some subjects, but with math the student needs to understand WHY a process works. Once this is learned, the rest comes rather easily. When the student takes for granted a way to solve a problem, they are lost when the problem is presented in a different way. But, if the student understands the WHY, the presentation of the problem does not matter.
As a Cal Poly graduate with a BS in Computer Science, I have had to master most math and computer science course material. My experience is teaching math to mostly older teens and young adults. Throughout my life, I have enjoyed and excelled at math and its applications. I graduated summa cum laude from an engineering program at Cal Poly successfully completing significant math coursework through advanced calculus. During the final two years of my undergraduate studies, I tutored university students in a variety of engineering classes, and more recently, I have been tutoring a high-school student in Algebra II with successful results.
