A Little Bit About Me...

I am a musician and teacher at heart and within the past two years I have found a way to combine those two passions into the most rewarding job I've ever had. I've been teaching music lessons, usually with guitar, for well over a year now and I love every second of it. I'm in pursuit of getting a music degree right now and by teaching and taking classes, I'm learning more than I could have ever hoped for. I have been playing guitar for about six years and I'm completely self-taught. I do, however, know music theory and many other music fundamentals as well. I can also read and write sheet music.
My teaching style is a very flexible style. I understand that everyone has a different method for learning and I have to adapt in order for the student to learn. Throughout my college background, I have had a wide variety of subjects, all which have prepared me to be able to assist others with their educational needs. As an Graduate of Applied Science of Industrial Instrumentation. I was extremely driven to accomplish a long sought after goal of completing college while shift working and raising a family of four sons all on my own. I graduated Phi Theta Kappa, National Dean's List, and was offered internship in three different countries. China, Europe and Austrila. I taught all four of my son's to walk, talk, read, count, and finally socialites. My oldiest son is dyslexic and we colaborate daily comming up with new exciting ways to look at different mild stones of his learning patterns.
