Guitar is one of my top subjects!

My name is John & I have always had a passion for music. I have been studying music for about 10 years now & I have also recorded my own CD. I have been Worship Leader at my church for 7 years now (lead vocals & piano). I am also very experienced in the guitar as well as the drums. I have been teaching music lessons for a couple of years now, as I am trying to also start my company CMLessons.

I began studying classical guitar in 1996, at Lonestar college, before attending the University of New Orleans. My undergraduate degrees are in English and Classical guitar. I am a musician and teacher at heart and within the past two years I have found a way to combine those two passions into the most rewarding job I've ever had. I've been teaching music lessons, usually with guitar, for well over a year now and I love every second of it. I'm in pursuit of getting a music degree right now and by teaching and taking classes, I'm learning more than I could have ever hoped for. I have been playing guitar for about six years and I'm completely self-taught. I do, however, know music theory and many other music fundamentals as well. I can also read and write sheet music.
