I am a firm believer that the best way to learn varies from subject to subject. When I taught math my view was that the best way to teach was to break everything down into a step by step process and have the students memorize the process. Most other subjects can be learned through repitition, but math requires everything to be broken down. I taught 8th through 10th grade at a Christian School in Ludowici. I don't think I can claim a specific teaching "style" just yet; I simply don't have enough experience to define myself in that regard. Besides, no single "style" or method is going to work with any given student. Everyone is different. I tell the student to think of a tree. in the seconds you think of a tree, you don't think of just the tree. you think of the roots, the trunk, the limbs, the branches, the leaves. then you think of whats going on in the tree, right down to the point of the tree taking in carbon dioxide and giving off oxygen and water.
