A Little Bit About Me...

I gained a variety of skills including, counseling, communication, discipline, motivation, teamwork, and importantly, patience. Although teaching students has its challenges, I learned that patience, flexibility, cooperation and accepting the uniqueness of each individual play a vital role. Helping children is the most important, challenging, and rewarding task in my life. Children who grow up in a caring, nurturing, educational atmosphere help them to develop the confidence, self-esteem and knowledge to become happy, successful young adults and members of the community. I firmly believe teaching our children and assisting with their development is vital to their future. I am content to motivate and encourage all children.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have known since I was 5 years old that I wanted to teach and work with young children. I am most happy in a classroom atmosphere and believe children learn best through variety of techniques and mediums. My philosophy has and continues to be that all things are possible with a good education and that learning occurs best when given many types of hands on (Discovery) experiences and a positive learning environment. My goal is to have a positive impact on my students both educationally and in their self-confidence.
My experience ranges over a span of 22 years as a Preschool/Pre-K Teacher, Preschool Asst. Director, YMCA After School Site Director, After School Tutor, Elementary School Instructional Aide, Sign Language Interpreter, Special Ed. Tutor. I earned an AA degree in Liberal Studies, a certificate in Sign Language and earned a BA degree in Psychology.
