My comments on tutoring Composition : I have been teaching writing for 30 years at LaGuardia Community College, in NYC. I have helped many students from around the world to become fine writers of the English language. I am patient and understanding.

In my experience, the majority of students are highly motivated. This is, for me, the key to success. Composition is one of my top subjects! Teacher writing is my favorite thing to teach, as it is a chance to see a student's creativity and uniqueness in their work. As a certified Teacher of English (NJ), I am prepared to teach writing composition at any age. I have worked with beginning readers who are just learning to make letters into words and words into sentence. On the other side of the spectrum, I have taught High School English, and thus am familiar with working with the upper levels of writing. Students best learn by doing, by experiencing, and from a variety of experiences that incorporate their five senses. Students learn with different paces and styles.
