I was hired full-time to teach in the sciences at a private college in Michigan. The subjects I taught included Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Nutrition, Chemistry and more. Over three years, I advanced to Dean of Health Sciences, and while I set up and administered programs in that area, I continued to teach in the sciences. After I moved to Wilmington, I taught for Miller-Motte College and one semester at Hoggard High School in Chemistry and Earth Science. I took an exciting 2-year position in Seattle, Washington where I developed curriculum for home care aides and weatherization technicians and I continued to teach in the sciences, both in class and online.

My teaching style is adaptive. I believe everyone has the capacity to learn. The approach to learning is what makes the difference. Being a mother, I love children and am very patient. I also know that kids have their own distinct personalities and I address each child as an individual person, with their own talents and ideas.
