I have grown up with a sibling who is Deaf and always used sign language to communicate and I have been an Interpreter for more than 15 years and was NAD IV certfified in 2000. In addition, I have an ESSE V certification. I have worked nearly two decades in the educational system as a Sign Language Interpreter. I have experience with K-12, Community College, and University levels. I worked as Mentor for a K-12 school district with 13 Mentees for five years. Because of the new state law, the Mentee's goal was to become certified to continue with employment. 10 out of the 13 Mentee's succeeded in compliance with the state law.

Have been working in the interpreting field since I graduated with my degree in 2007. I work primarily as a community interpreter as well as post secondary education. I also have had the opportunity to mentor and sight supervise University interns. In 2012 I received my national certificate for interpreting from the Register of Interpreters for the Deaf.
