My comments on tutoring Physics : Took both college-level, calculus-based, general physics courses. Topics: Newton's laws, angular motion, kinematics, inertia, momentum, electrical, magnetic, and basic concepts involving circuit boards.

Tutored on TutorSelect.come before a few years back and successfully tutored over ten individual students as well as a couple of group sessions with in between 2 and 4 students. All the students I tutored were either in high school or college. My topic I predominately tutor and that I most enjoy tutoring is mathematics. I've taken Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, all three college Calculus courses, and Differential Equations. I also took both college-level General Chemistry courses and both calculus-based Physics courses. I also was responsible in most of my classes for developing a weekly schedule for tutoring/studying course topics with fellow classmates and friends. I solve problems. I am a bioanalytical chemist and biomedical engineer. This profession requires using math, statistics, biology and chemistry at a high level on a daily basis as I develop products that improve healthcare. Math is one of the loves in my life. I get excited about doing it, learning more about it, and helping others excel in mathematics. I think there is a good mix between helping too much, and helping too little. In my teaching/coaching/tutoring, I try and see what the students weaknesses are at first, and then try and help them work on those areas. In math, it is critical to know the basics, because like some other subjects, math builds and builds. The concepts learned in elementary (addition, subtraction, etc), are used in more complex forms the rest of one's life. So for each stepping stone in math, it is critical to understand the basics, and move on from there. This is how I will try and teach students to help them achieve in mathematics.

Being of Russian origin, my methods of explanation may be a little different from what students are used to here.
